I wrote to Air NZ after reading a member had to recheck his bags through to Denpasar in Sydney.
This is their reply:
I am sorry to learn of your disappointment with what has been written about Air New Zealand on the ‘Bali Forum'.
Regrettably, without actual bookings details for the passengers I am unable to comment on their situation. General ruling is, out of Auckland we are able to through check baggage through to Denpasar.
We encourage customers who experience difficulties with our service to make contact. This gives us the opportunity to provide an explanation and rectify areas of our service that requires attention.
However, I hope I have been able to clarify our position on this matter for you.
