Think I promised a few people a review on the new Perth to Denpasar Route on Air Asia.
I flew on the second flight 18th July, didn't see a spare seat on the plane. Everyone seemed pretty excited. After boarding the front row seats looked the pick of the seats. Plane was nice and new and staff were smiling and most importantly on time.
Flight home today, a few empty seats here and there and actually got in 10mins early.
Got a bit hungry and decided to give the Nasi Goreng a go, for $3 wasn't too bad. Don't expect it to look like the pictures though.
The flight over wasn't the best for me. I went to sleep at 10pm for a few short hours woke up and headed to the airport half asleep. Akward time to be flying out. Best thing Dewi Sri had my room ready when I arrived early in the morning.
The flight home was a bit better, didn't leave the hotel til just before 10pm. Heaps of Air Asia staff at the airport around to help and best signage of all the airlines. The Bright Red sure stands out.
Heard a few people complain about having to pay extra for luggage being 5kg over but they decided to just go with the 15kg. People pay $99 for a flight, know the rules about luggage, dont want to pay the extra and still complain.. arhhh!
I travelled pretty light 9kg over and 11kg on way back. They didn't weigh hand luggage think a few people had bigger and heavier hand luggage than my checked in bag.
For $99 can't complain, got me there on time with no problems. Staff were friendly and smiling. Booked another trip for October and March with new flight schedule.
