And didn't notice anything bad about the staff then, maybe it's changed. The hotel was very nice, lovely grounds, good access to the beach, good pools with nice day beds at the main one. Breakfast was lovely at the restaurant near the beach. For me the Sofitel is a little out of the way from the main shopping and restaurants of Legian and Seminyak so you need to either walk a little or rely on taxis, but aside from that it was a good choice
