Left Sydney July 8 in Rain, flight delayed 1.5 hrs, just wanted to get going, Garuda good as always, landed 1 hr late, somehow we made the time up. VOA AND IMMIGRASSI SLOW,now have to change lines afetr paying VOA, bit confusing but hey thats Bali. Love the smells straight out of the airport, straight to the Puri Raja, 2nd time really like this Hotel. Had great rooms down the beach end for 14 nights.Stocked up at Bintang supermarket on goodies. Ordered suits for sons at House oF Komangs, and jackets at Dolphin Leather very happy with both, good price and quality. Had drinks at S&S a few nights, hi to all whom we met. Bought watches from Bali Boy and sunnies from Alex.Had many great meals, not one bad one but will let you know more in future JBR, had many lunches at Tommy's, we all love their iced Milos. Hireed 2 bikes for 10 days, great way to get around and really cheap, petrol was 5000rp a litre!Used mainly cash for the whole time and got between 7795 and 8100 from money changers, we found a really good one on rum jungle rd, just opposite the school. We used the atm at Bintang and got 7100 so stuck with cash.Got told by our driver Ducky about some nasty things happening at Bounty night club, need to be really careful there, met 2 people who lost cash and gear on different nights, tourist polisi not really interested.
