we leave shortly in August,but the shopping centre I'am talking about is no where near the big discovery centro plaza it's quiet in terms of how many people go there mainly locals hanging around there.
So I feel it would be okay to visit however undertand completely if you don't want to visit shopping malls.
We go there because, it is quiet and won't go to Kuta Matihari's because it too busy, in fact don't like driving up Legian street in Kuta and have now worked out how to get there using back streets.
Always go with you gut if it doesn't feel right just don't go anywhere you don't want to.
We all hope everything will be fine, my daughter arrives from America to meet us in Bali and her motto is we are all together if anything happens, I on the hand think logical avoid listen to your gut.
Over the years been to many places to eat and didn't feel comfortable and we have just got up and left, my husband trusts me completely and never questions my feelings. There are some places he just won't go to and I get upset if I really want to go but have to respect and trust his feelings.
Always the best way to travel having complete respect and trust in each other feelings makes it a happy holiday.
