Hi, sorry came to this post late.

I can quite eaeliy understand that you would like a little time for yourselves on holiday, most Mum's rarely have time for theirselves.

I feel sorry for the 'problem' you have with your family and their ideas which appear opposite to yours. I would definitely opt for a baby sitter. I have only ever done this once in Spain. The sitter was recommended by the hotel. My eldest daughter really enjoyed her company, and she was a responsible lady.

As regards your husband, just remind him about Madelaine McCann, the English girl who was apparently 'stolen' from an apartment in Portugal, and allegedly the parents were only in the complex grounds 100 yards away! Heart breaking.

As others may have mentioned, in UK it would be illegal for a 13 year old to baby sit, and on some occassions has resulted in children being taken into care! I'm positive thats the last thing you would want. You can tell the 13 year old she can do the things she likes to do for her sister but there must be an adult present, to deal with any unexpected incidents.

Good luck and i hope that you all enjoy a pleasant holiday!
