Using iPhone help

Hi
ok so I buy a telkomsel simpati sim card to use with my iPhone but how do I get the current contacts stored to my phone so I can use them when I switch to the telkomsel sim card ?
I am not a big user but will just text and use some data for downloading emails - how much should I spend on a sim card for 5 days?
