mobiles and laptops

We are leaving for Bali in 3 1/2 weeks and would love to know if anyone has bought mobiles or laptops in bali and they haven't had any probs with them in Oz? Another ? are they alot cheaper or should I not bother looking? Im not after anything big in laptop just for home use only.
