The warning is always there, just reinforced again because of recent events.
I am going in 8 days and I have no reservations about it having been 4 times since the first bombing.
In my opinion Tuban and Ubud would be safe areas. Target areas seem to be the heavily populated places and large hotels, especially US owned.
We tend to do all our touristy things during the day and stay close to our hotel at night.
We also have Balinese friends who advise us if they hear anything on the streets. Just stay observant of everything that is going on around you and you should be fine.
Don't let them spoil your holiday, I'm not.
