Think about it from their point of view - as if you were running a business, as after all a business is what it is no matter how comfortable you feel there as a return guest.

Potentially Tegal Sari stand to lose 4 weeks of bookings on your room if you fail to show or cancel at short notice. I understand that you are a repeat guest but they really have no idea if you will turn up or not.

These sorts of policies are borne from other tourists NOT doing the right thing, not cancelling bookings within plenty of time to fill rooms, or double booking rooms and not staying there at all.
