and sometimes I choose a cruise because of one of the destinations but only occasionally.

Sometimes you cannot visit small ports (usually ones where you need renders to get ashore)and at the last minuite they announce that the itinerary is changing because of bad weather. I am fascinated listening to all the whingers moaning and groaning about the change. I want to throw them all in a tender and send them ashore and say get hurt. Imagine if someone was hurt - the media would have its usuall field day.

I watched with interest when swine flu first emerged and people were grumbling about all the fuss and precautions the cruise lines were taking and some fools were even commenting to the cameras that it was "all unnecessary".

I will not let terrorists stop me from my travel plans but if I were responsible for a few thousand passengers I would scratch a visit off the list too. They usually only stop 8 to 10 hours and the company will find an alternative stop to keep the whingers happy.
