I take it you're rather proud of your bugaboo or you would've just asked if you can take your pram. But then if i could afford one i'd be flaunting it just the same - well maybe not but thats just me :)

Not sure if air asia charge extra but it will have to go in the luggage hold regardless - only small umbrella strollers are generally allowed to go in the cabin & even then it's only on quiet trips (of which christmas is not). For this reason i would hire a pram once there. Nothing that goes in the luggage hold comes out quite the same & when you've spent that much on a pram i wouldn't want it ruined so soon. We've flown different airlines & have never had to pay extra for up to 2 pieces of baby equipment (ie a pram & portacot).

The footpaths aren't always great in Bali either which could also do a bit of damage to your bugaboo. I can't picture the wheels on the chameleon but you'll want something with large soft wheels for max comfort. Saying that though - last time we went we took a cheap steelcraft holiday stroller (under $100 from big W) with the standard small wheels & we did just fine. And be warned - if you were to come through customs with dirt on the wheels or whatnot they have been known to hose down the entire thing, not great.

The only problem with hiring there however is not having your pram at the airport - both at home & on arrival in Bali. Can be tricky with little tikes.
