To be honest I would be changing to a new optomotrist if he wanted to charge us that sort of money and wasnt offering a free trial of a lens as they all get samples to be tried by customers, both my wife and I have been given a free trial lens, new brand etc,in fact my wife has tried quite a few different brands but comes back to focus night and day which are the ones you CAN leave in for a month but because her eyes get exceptionaly dry she takes them out every night and puts them into storage fluid.
Yes i would try to have them sorted out here before going for correct size and strength as it can sometimes be difficult to communicate 100% with an optomotrist overseas with english not being their first language and you can also get used to putting them or it (yes you can manage with one lens,we do, depending on your optical problem)into and out of your eye as it does take a little time to get used to.
Now i seldom bother getting them in bali because unless on holiday i dont wear them every day and you can have them with a use by date of a couple of years away.
Have left my email open if you want to contact me direct.
