You're looking at about Rp15-20K in a taxi to Kuta Sq most of the time, but it depends on traffic of course. It is a fair walk to Kuta central, but I've done the stroll down to Bemo corner, then taxi back plenty of times, and while it's a long way, it is a nice walk - and I'm certainly not the fittest person on the planet!
I'm a big fan of staying in that area though. Close enough to everything, but just out of the busy central area.
