Whats Canggu Like?

Hello again. Still searching for the perfect family holiday accommodation for next year & am currently looking at a property in Canggu. I dont know this area at all. Can people give me any ideas what its like? ie: is it really far?? Are there restaurants & shops around? Is a quick nip out to do shopping more like a day trip and lot of organising? We normally stay in Jimbaran or Seminyak. Thnx.
