Just a little bit more info that I forgot to add in my previous post.
The age group varies at this Hotel, the only thing I can say is there have never been large groups of young people there. You also get a variety of nationalities as well, however aussie occupancy does win hands down. Drinks are reasonsble, we where paying 15000 for a small bintang in May and my mum just came back last month and the price was still the same.
The afternoons can get quite social around the pool especially if you stay for a month like we do and you get to know people.
There is a TV in the pool bar and we have watched many sporting events while sitting there during the arvo. There is also a CD player at the bar and if asked the bar tender will put on your favourite CD.
We always ask for a room on the ground floor but the stairs to the upper levels arnt bad at all. The rooms we stay in face out to the large fish pond and temple which is nice.
The shopping around Poppies II (if you are not familiar with) is pretty good and the money changer next to the Rainbow Cafe and opposite the Bounty is the best one to use (kodak shop).
Getting a taxi is easy, just walk to the top of Poppies II (beach end) and they come by every few minutes.
Im sure there is more I can tell you, but if you do have a specific question fire away and I will see if I can give you the answer.
