is probably obvious but even with the best intentions we got caught out a few times and paid the cost: grumpy,unco-operative kids. That is, plan to do your walking about in the early morning or late afternoon. The speed with which it heats up-around 11am- can be quite disarming and if you're caught out in it woe betide!! Mad dogs and Englishmen but not for little kids if you want a relaxing holiday...
