A little gem of a find on our recent visit was Cantika Traditional Health and Beauty Spa in Jl Bisma. Ph. 7944425.
Owned by Ketut Jasi who is a bit of a character and an interesting lady with a story to tell the spa is her baby that she has great plans for and originally started out of her traditional kitchen in her famliy compound in the village of Penestanan.
Jasi makes most of the spa products from plants in her garden along with a variety of other natural ingredients.
We spent a interesting afternoon at her home in the rice fields exploring her garden and then along with her staff helping to make beauty products which were used to give us a wonderful facial experience before we left.
Jasi still gives treatments from her home spa as well as her second location in Jl Bisma.
We all highly recommend calling Jasi and organising a visit to her home garden for a tour and opportunity to make your own products.Jasi usually does this on a sunday morning but may be flexible if her time allows.
We came away with some interesting information , sample pot of cream we had made and the experience of one of the best facials we had experienced in Bali and also having met some lovely local ladies during the afternoon.
The afternoon cost us 150,000 rp and that included the tour of the garden ,making the products,sample pot of cream we made and 1hr facial.
A lovley afternoon had by all.
