Just arrived back from 11 nights in Bali. Wow how the time flies. We decided this time to stay in Tuban (previously stayed at Legian)at the smaller complex named the Green Graden Beach Resort and Spa. We were not disappointed; the resort was lovely and lived well up to expectations. I have never met such friendly and accomodating staff.Great prices and very reasonable massages too.
I booked on-line direct with the hotel and received extrememly quick responses with my booking, requests and questions.
We flew with Pcaific Blue, who left exactly on time and even arrived ten minuteds early. What a good start. We organised a VIPVOA aslo online and this was service was proved in a very professional manner.
We were arriving in BAli on a Saturday afternoon and after checking the many flights due in, opted to try and speed up the entry process.
It wasn't that busy when we did arrive, but speaking to others, they had about a two hour wait to get through. Just the luck of the draw.

There had been a few inquires about a 'fish spa'. There is one at the entry of the Matahari shopping complex. The fish are alot smaller than the ones that are used in KL. the cost was 100Rp per 20 minutes. I think they may also have one at the Discovery Mall.

Another great find was that at the Boardwalk between 5.30 and 6.00pm you can receive TWO FREE cocktails from the bar when producing a voucher. These are obtained at the back part of a voucher booklet which hotels seem to have at the reception area.

My husband went to Dr Rudy for about 3 fillings.I had my teeth cleaned. 400,000Rp ($50.00) for a clean and scale. This I found was very reasonable, as I was about to make an appointement when I got home. The money saved can be put towards our next trip!!!

Best part of our holiday was the relaxing stay at our hotel, morning swims, massages, lounging by the pool (pool lounges always available) and the wonderful staff. Walking down to the Boardwalk along the beach pathway later afternoon and enjoying cocktails while watching the wonderful sunset. Strolling down Poppies Lane and trying to decide which little restaurant to try tonight.

I still find the markets have a magnetic pull; I have been to Bali 12 times and still love to wonder, look and bargain; I must say not buying anything near in the quantities that I used too. I do always come home with something that has caught my eye.

I can't wait to go again and will be saving and looking for good prices on airfares.

When waiting to go back home, I suggest going to one of the lounges. It is so much more comfortable that just waiting in the normal sitting areas. The cost was 100,000 Rp per person which was about $12.00. You can have spirits (gin& tonic, whisky, vodka& beer wine, tea/coffee and nibbles. The seeting is lovely. There is aslo the Premier Lounge down the other end. It looks very smart, but at 250,000Rp($31.00 per person)we felt that it was a little too expensive for us.

To all those future balitravellers, I hope your experiences are as relaxing and ejoyable as mine.
