I stayed there a number of years ago and if you are unlucky enough to have one of the distant villas it is quite a significant climb up to the reception and restaurants. If you like plenty of exercise, great location.
We recently stayed at the Furama Villas, very quiet and relaxing amongst the rice fields. It is about 20 minutes out of Ubud but the trip in is quite pleasant and they have 5 shuttles a day with the last one leaving Ubud at 9pm
