I take my own laptop & purchase a hotspot wifi card when I get there to check emails etc every morning.
I also take a cell phone with me and buy a Bali sim card for it when I get there so I can text and call on/from bali network. Once I have that number I text it to everyone who needs to know it.
Employees are able to contact me and anyone else who needs to but apart from that, one of the joys of bali is that you aren't 100% contactable to everyone else all the time :)
