I have stayed at Tunjung a few times over the last few years. The rooms are pretty basic but for what you pay per night its good value for money. I stayed in the new rooms, so very clean and spacious; you do need to ask the cleaning guys though to clean your room when required as they will not do on a daily basis. I found it a good place to meet people with many backpackers staying there, at times though the noise from the parties around the pool would still be going at 4 and 5 am with the staff not caring - ok if you are out partying yourself but if that's not your scene you will not get much sleep. The location is fantastic and as in the previous post, JB's 27 out the front is a great little restaurant (owned by the brother of Tunjung's owner), the staff there are awesome, the food is good and really cheap.
The only other thing is that Tunjung no longer take bookings, so it's just a matter of walking in at any time and seeing if they have a room available - I think it is like this for most of the cheaper style places. Good luck :)
