I usually take two mobile phones and a USB Drive. One mobile phone is switched to roaming and the other mobile phone which is unlocked uses a locally purchased Mentari SIM. I return calls to Australia with the phone using the Mentari SIM for Rp 1,000 per minute.
My USB Drive contains all my usual business correspondence saved in the Word 97 format.
Every day, I go to an Internet Cafe to catch up on my e-mails. Using the USB Drive, I can respond with an attachment to the e-mail even if the Internet Cafe uses a very old version of microsoft Office.
