I would hire a babyseat, and a car and enjoy Bali. We have driven for all of our 13 trips and it is the way to see as much of Bali as possible. It gives you freedom, and the traffic outside of Denpasar and Kuta is not madness and everyone travels quite slowly and where it is chaos you find the drivers are different to Australian drivers, they let people pull in front of them and there is no road rage, just politeness.
You will love driving yourself.
