Had dinner last night at Le48, a new French restaurant opposite Vincents in Candi Dasa. The food, service and ambiance were all top notch but the prices are rock bottom for the style and quality. Entrees and deserts ~30,000Rp, mains 40,000Rp, small Bintang 15,000Rp, Hatten wine 125,000Rp, all +15%.
The place looks really expensive, polished black floor, retro red bucket chairs and white leather seats on the patio overlooking the lagoon. The staff are very well trained and look tres chic, the girls all have little black dresses and the guys are very smart looking. The food was well beyond expectations for the price, well presented and delicious.
There is also accommodation that is just as stylish for ~US$100.
Get there on sunset and get patio seats to watch the sun set behind the palm trees. But not for the next 2 nights because we have the table reserved!
