Ham Diaries Day 6

# As I write kites are being flown all around me, darting and weaving. Can almost grab the string of one.

# Normal fare of omelette, toast, fruit and coffee for breaky.

# The congestion of cars, bikes and people at the moment give a whole new meaning to "Gang Warfare". Its crazy and still they come. 1.9m tourists last year 313 000 Aussies, apparently.

# Plunge deep into the gangs of Legian where there is no paving and you can still find pockets of peace and quiet.A mann tap tap tapping at a chair with a hammer, an acre of long grass with wallowing water buffalo,a new mother swinging in a hammock breast feeding her new born, old women standing at corners catching up on gossip and motorbike or tourist neither seen nor heard. Really nice walk today.

# Held captive by the wristlet gang on the way home. Only a promise to by more before I leave securing my freedom. "You leave tomorrow?" was one quick quip heard.

# Particle wave duality is weird.

# No running water at inn today. Will be using a bucket of water for my evening ablutions. Why do I like the unreliability of cheap accommodation?

# Cats abound around my accommodation at the moment. I have no idea where they all came from. I fear for my little warrior as he has not been sighted.

# Found good acoustic blues not far from my room so am heading down for an hour or two to check it out.

Thoughts: Sliding into the Kuta way of life and my routine nicely now and am just starting to feel like I'm away.

Cheers
Ham
