Jakarta embassy earlier this year. We received an email advising my husband had to phone the Jakarta embassy at a specified time / day. Call is at own expense. It probably took about 20 - 30 minutes. To the best of my knowledge they aren't conducting interviews in Bali. This is of course always subject to change.

My husband was given a clear indication at the end of the interview that our visa application would be successful although I know generally speaking they don't indicate either way.

We received our visa grant letter by email 2 days later. My husband took his passport and the visa grant advice email to the AVAC office to have the visa evidenced into it by the Consulate in Bali. He collected the passport the following afternoon. The next day he was on his way to Australia. Good luck, hope you have a swift outcome. Ours was processed in under 3 weeks.
