At times when no flights are expected places just close down here in Perth. But when there are flights landing then it's all busy busy busy. Duty Free shops open and all Immigration & Customs desks are manned. Last Monday evening despite another flight landing at the same time I was through Duty Free, Customs, Immigration & in the car home within 40 mins.

There is no excuse for there not being more Immigration desks open in Bali. And they should be fully manned at busy times. A long hot wait is a very unpleasant way to start a holiday, especially when it is shortly followed by the porter swarm, taxi pain (WHY is it that when you get a taxi voucher you have to trek across a carpark or 2? Surely the taxi should come to you?) then a slow, noisy trip to your hotel. No wonder the VIP VOA businesses are thriving.
