Just returned from our 10th trip to Bali. Travelled with, husband, daughter (16), girlfriend and her daughter (16).
We flew with Garuda, nice not to have any of our flights cancelled as jetstar had done to us the previous 2 trips.
My only gripe was that some folk do not know when to stop drinking! Don't get me wrong, we love a nip or two but these people wandered the isles the entire trip talking loudly to their mates, leaning on our seats with their elbows digging into our heads as they spoke to their friends behind us.
Enough of that for now but we saw many Australians behaving badly along the way this trip!
Stayed at Puri Raja, couldn't fault this place, it was our 3rd stay there. The lounge hogs were out in force our second week, which was the start of Australian school hols.
Did not have one bad meal the entire trip, ate at:
Zanzibar
Lanai
Blue Ocean
Un's
Poppies
Seaside
Indonational
TJ's
Warung 96
Nero
Kori
Boardwalk
Had a gorgeous leather trench coat made for my daughter at Merri Collection, Padma Utara 950 000 rp.
Suit and pants copied at House of Komang's in Melasti St.
Friends and daughter visited Safari Park, great day had by all.
As we have been many times now we took this opportunity just to relax, read and unwind. I had many spa treatments, the best being bodyworks for the most amazing facial ever. Also went to Melasti spa, Briella and Chill for reflexology.
Did end up with Pneumonia in my first week with a night spent at BIMC. It was a total cost of $2000.00 Aud, thank god for travel ins.
To sum it all up, disapointing being unwell my first week, weather and company was perfect, Bali was the busiest I have ever seen it but I am ready for a bali break for a few years, off to Hawaii in March.
Thanks for reading, Julie
