Darwin to Bali

Hi,
Flying out next month from Brisbane to Darwin to Bali. Anyone else don't the Darwin to Bali leg? Can you advise if it was busy when you arrived at the airport?

Lots of airlines fly at the same time and I wondered if it was worth doing the VIP VOA?

I really don't want to wait hours or pay and then breeze through.... Just thought others may have an opinion on this.
