Went there with Richard from Rambutan, offered to supply rice, noodles etc. Both were politely declined as they had recently had good donations: most impressed by this as it is known that most places grab with both hands, needed or not.

Eventually we went to a local, large deli and bought a selection of personal hygiene items for each orphan, which were received graciously. Two cases of clothing also were donated. We explained there was no need to present each item, just had a short yack about Aust/Indon friendship etc.

The orphans were a happy lot, open-faced, no whingeing and I would like to go back again. This place accepts all but was set up in Hindu tradition by the Buleleng Govt' after the '63 (65?) earthquake. Laughter was the norm and a great spirit was seen to exist between the kids.

Please support these people.

Peter.
