This is the email that indojet have sent to their customers:
YOUR LATEST INDOJET FLIGHT INFORMATION TO BALI
We refer to the above matter. We write in respect of your above mentioned flight. You may be aware of the current delays and postponement of flights experienced by Indojet Asia of late.
We would like to take this opportunity to explain to you as to why these unforseen difficulties arose in the first place. Indojet Asia has a Charter agreement with Ozjet Airlines Pty Ltd. Under the charter agreement Ozjet was to provide aircraft to Indojet Asia for flights to Denpasar and Perth.
On or about the 20th of May 2009, we were advised that Perth International Airport have withdrawn Ozjet's landing rights in Perth Airports. We were advised that this was brought about by Ozjet's failure to pay Perth Airports certain fees and charges. Indojet Asia was only advised about this predicament at the very last minute. Ozjet has now recently been put under external administration and as such further compounded Indojet Asia's flight plans temporarily.
Nevertheless, Indojet Asia has in the last 4 weeks been making ad-hoc arrangements with other carriers to uplift passengers who have already purchased tickets on Indojet Asia. We are pleased to advise that we have been able to ensure that all passengers have been uplifted and that the inconvenience to our customers have been minimal. However, we have been having difficulty in the last week or so to obtain the services of other carriers to assist us in transporting passengers to their destination, which we note is due largely to the school holidays and peak holiday season around this time of the year.
As such the management of Indojet Asia has resolved to temporarily suspend travel for the time being, the next 4 weeks, in order for us to source reliable carriers to assist in continuing our travel services with minimal disruption. The decision to suspend temporarily is to ensure that our customers' travel plans are not disrupted due to uncertain fight timings and so on.
In order for us to make appropriate plans to resume our travel services, we propose to do either of two things. One of which is to refund customers the payment made by the customer for their flights and the other would be for the customers to postpone their flights to a later date.
In order for us to assist you and minimise the inconvenience that you have been put through, we would require you to inform us in writing which of the above two would you prefer. If you would like us to postpone your flight, we would appreciate that you advise us as to when you would like to travel and we will make the appropriate arrangements for you.
If however, you wish to be refunded the payments that you have made for your Indojet Asia ticket, then please inform us in writing via email to customer.service@indojet.com.au and you will receive your refund within 6 weeks from the date of your written notification.
We apologise for the inconvenience, however as a responsible travel services provider, we are under an obligation to our customers to provide certainty in travel timings and availability of aircraft for the same.
We look forward to hearing from you with respect to your plans and travel itinerary.
Yours Sincerely,
INDOJET ASIA
