I very much doubt that either virgin or qantas would be interested in operating a charter service to any company for a couple of flights per week utilising an aircraft that has been "mothballed".
As I understand it indojet was chartering an aircraft for these flights that was also being used on other flights by the owners of the aircraft which presumably would be cheaper than an airline providing an aircraft that was "mothballed"
