...but I know you probably can't see that from the position you find yourself in at the moment.
The Australian Consulate will already be aware of the situation and be prepared for stranded passengers from Indojet. I found myself in a similar predicament a few years ago and the Australian government got me out.
As they will understand already whats happened, they will ask you if you have exhausted all other means of assistance from family, friends etc to pay for you to get home. When they have established your very real need for assistance they will organise all that is required for you not to live on the streets and also a way home.
Just to reassure you. I was in Cambodia stranded with no money, accommodation or way to get to Thailand for my flight home. The consulate provided enough, just enough, money for food transport and accommodation to get me and my Australian partner to Bangkok in time for my flight.
They will stamp your passport with an ID reference number and any money that is loaned to you will have to be paid back. I had a letter waiting for me when I arrived home not much more than a week later.
That's one of the main reasons we have consulates, to assist Australian citizens in genuine distress while over seas. Added to that you are in Bali and the Australian consulate has seen many people in similar situations.
Rest easy Kelly, it's all gonna be fine. I promise.
Cheers
