Went to Johnny A last night - had roots done, conditioning treatment & great cut for Rp225K (over 2 hours). Last week I had a manicure & pedicure there, my friend ditto plus upper back massage. The foot massages look wonderful. Prices are very reasonable. Get there either as soon as it opens at 10am or go in the evening (open til 10pm) to avoid crowds.
I bought masses of shampoo, conditioner etc which were about one tenth of the price I usually pay here in Perth & the quality seems great. Most things Rp16K - Rp20K.
Be aware, though, that Johnny A is an Indonesian chain - they do not cater specifically for tourists. The main clientele is Indonesian. I have read here that someone with fair hair was not happy with her colour treatment.
Johnny A also has a salon in Bali Galeria. He also owns J Co Donuts, I understand.
