of the comments that have been made, especially the positive ones that actually are aimed at informing and helping people.
Here is what I have found:-
Indojet are not registered with the travel agents association, but are with the travel compensation fund.
You can Google that site to see where the advantages or protection may be with that "safety net".
There may be more hope of compensation given this backing.
It may differ with different credit cards and banks, but the one that I am with advise that a "reverse payment", or disputed payment, cannot be raised until either the service has been not provided, or the service provider has gone into liquidation.
In other words, you have to wait until your trip is not provided (out and back I suppose) until you can claim.
Obviously, the point is that Indojet can state at the moment that they have suspended for a month, but intend to provide services next month, so therefore no compensation or refund is applicable.
As an aside, the issue was raised on Perth talkback this morning, so I would expect that some of the media outlets will start to turn the heat up on this, perhaps hastening the collapse, and maybe helping card holders to use the "liquidation" situation to get a reverse payment.
Like Ham, I too had a look at the offices this morning, and saw the sign in the window.
I have no doubt that Indojet monitor the BTF, and would have been aware that there was talk of a gathering.
Bad news all round, and very poor communication from Indojet, however although badly managed it should be remembered that they may have also been victims of the Oz Jet saga which has lead to what may be their demise.
I did not go across the road to Island Bound to get stuck into "family members", as I felt this innapropriate.
