The many times I've been to Bali whether peak season or not I have found cheap accommodation ,50 000 rupiah, from the many small losmens(guesthouses) that are scatterd throughout the area between Poppies 1 and poppies 2.
Ronta bungalows have been a travellers mainstay for years with good clean rooms with attached bathroom set around a lush garden. I paid 30 000rupiah a couple of years ago. Great place for meeting travellers and close to everything.
You will find it on Ronta gang(lane) at the poppies two end of the gang.
Failing that,google "cheap accommodation Poppies 1 or Poppies 2" and you will get lists of choices with photos, rates, contact numbers and addresses.
