For what you wish I think you would be better staying in Legian at the Melasti, Padma , or similar and save the money for Ubud or elsewhere, Hotel only has to be clean with good service and central location most 3 star hotels in Bali provide this. Both the Oberoi and the Sofitel are grossly overpriced especialy in high season,also the cost of food and drink is very expensive . Better to go to Ku de ta or the liveing Room for dinner and drinks or any good resturant mentioned in the forum .
