Group of 8 travelled to Bali, all of varied age groups, 2 x 18, 2x late 20, 4x late 40, flew Jetstar from Perth, ( 5 Bali newbies ) Arrive to big lines at VOA , and relly picked the slowest moving line, about 1 hr to get threw to be greeted with a sea of faces holding up cards with names on, i think ours was the last in the line.Off to the vans organized by the hotel, we were staying at the Green garden hotel for our 3rd time.2x ground floor, 1x 2nd floor, rooms were great as always, quick unpack and next door to supermarket and money changer and were set.Twenty somethinks couldnt wait to hit the stalls so across the road to fixed price shops to get an idea on prices and buy buy buy . Dinner close by , then back to hotel for a few duty free round the pool before hitting the hay.Next morn a stroll down to Kuta beach for a look round the beach, myself and 2 x18 yrs found somewhere to sit and have a cool drink while the others slowley wanderd onto the beach, when the onslaught with the sellers started on the newbies started, got a little bit seperated from the twentie somethinks and hey bingo they are getting nails , feet and hair done, and badley ripped off, oh well thats a lesson they will never forget and did a have a good laugh by the end of the trip.Water sports were on the agenda also white water rafting, Bali bike tour and safari park, a great day on each of these trips had by all. My husbands birthday also fell in one of these days and i pre booked 1 night at the safari park with 18 daughter, husband and myself fantastic and treated like vips. Stayed in a twiga room, just beautiful, and a lovely pool overlooking the animals, but must say it was the noisest night in Bali. WE took other forum members advise and ate at the resturant instead of going to Ubud for a meal and enjoyed it, not to pricey. Next morn got to wander round the park before it opened and special time with the animals and keepers. We all had some lovely massages at Green garden spa and on the beach also, didnt do much personal shopping, orderded dvds and had them deliverded to the hotel, bought 12 pairs of sunnies for $38 and a few bits for toddlers in the family. Ate at a different place each night and never a bad meal, none with upset tummies, just a few hangovers by the young. All in all great time had by all and plans for the newbies to return, Husband and myself already booked for march,Last but not least we have a thing for the phone--- if anyone would like it,and im sorry for any bad spelling and not setting this out correctley as im still not very good on P.C .
