Please try Lovina/Singaraja area for more than an overnight stay. I stayed at a nice, small boutique Hotel called Villa Agung(online website). It is not one of those flash resorts, but absolutely suited my tastes. I'm heading back there this year, as I liked the atmosphere of that area.(except for the pushy beach sellers, but you can deal with that ok if they are too persistent). It's a tad out of the main Lovina area, but plenty of bemos(public transport 3000rp for us tourists to get to main area). It's right on the beach, great food(kitchen open all day for guests and drop ins), small swimming pool, only 6 rooms all up, cold bintangs, cooking class if required, you can get your laundry done very cheaply. Gus and Sandy great hosts, great driver Leo available through them for tours to Buddhist Monastery, Hot Springs, Waterfalls, and other tours - he gives a good price for airport pickup. Leo can take you to a great coffee plantation in the area(up a lot of mountains), to a Balinese Blacksmith Foundry(great work safety there, haha! got a great video of the work boots(thongs of course, LOL!)) Left email open if any more questions. Remove the no spam thingo. Cheers Cheryl
