It's horrifying to read posts like this and a previous one where a boy died from internal injuries that would seem to be easily preventable.
It make you wonder just how much the tourism industry has benefitted the Balinese beyond the veneer that we tourists see if basic medical facilities and education programs are beyond the reach of so many people. In a country that can spend so much on the military it's shameful that so many have to rely on the truly heroic efforts of people like Smudge.
