There is a 24 hour shop on corner of Jl Sahadewa and Jl Padma/Yudistira) another on the same side closer to the beach. Loji is around the corner. Just be careful with your change and make sure you only get charged for what you buy. Its convenient to buy your water, mixers etc, although bit dearer than Matahari supermarket or Bintang. The Kodak shop on left heading to beach after Jl Sahadewa has always been reliable for us. Once again, just check you money before you leave the shop.
There is another reliable money changer on Jl Sahadewa on beach side, in a small booth, past Legends.
Another on Jl Padma Utara, right hand side beside the ATMs, alongside Celebes haridresser.
I find it convenient to go to Matahari or Bintang and return by taxi with heavy supplies of water, mixers, crackers, snacks, Bintang etc.
