a couple of years ago with the Griya Santrian in Sanur. We had asked our travel agent for a quote, including flights and accommodation, and then we thought we might go on FF points so emailed the Griya direct for their price. Got their price, then the next day got the same story as banana_pancake. Double booked, hotel in trouble with agent and hotel management, should not have revealed the price to agent, yahda yahda yahda. I told the hotel that no booking had been made through the agent, therefore they were obliged to honour the price they'd given me. The story got longer and longer, and in the end we caved in and paid the higher price. Won't fall for that one again!
