the general idea is that when in Bali, I try to see the bright and positive side of everything.
After all, that is why I am there.
I am pleased that you have "always got what you agreed to pay for", you are part of an exclusive club.
Balinese people are not singled out in my post, if you choose to read it closely.
I make reference to Indonesians, and Indonesia is recognised as one of the most, if not THE most corrupt countries in the world.
However, let us not dwell on that.
Regarding how I would feel if I was swindled in any other country.....who knows, this is the Bali Travel Forum, so my comments are restricted to what may, or does happen in Bali.
I hope your "clean sheet" as far as having a lend of you continues, and perhaps a positive posting providing protective advice to others, as I have attempted to provide is in order.
You need to know the pitfalls to avoid the pitfalls, and you have done incredibly well in that regard.
My post simply asks for others to share some of the scams that they have experienced, and believe it or not, most people who have visited Bali have seen it in one shape or another.
