but there's absolutely nothing wrong with Greenfields.
I just looked at Greenfields website and pictures of Bale Wangsuh.
I notice that Wangsuh is listed as costing 675,000,whereas Gede was only 475,000 (which is where one of our couples stayed) so the price would suggest it's a better room and the pictures looked very nice.
Our Super Deluxe #12 at Tegal Sari only cost 550,000 and we were more than happy with our room.
I only walked past (but didn't see inside) both the wooden rooms and the duplex at TS so I can't really help you much with room comparisons.
I think the overall feel of Tegal Sari was nicer with their own restaurant/outdoor cafe, better pool area and nice shady public areas (but you know this already). In short TS appeared to be greener and the general overall feel would suggest a slightly better choice.
Greenfields didn't seem to have any real public areas, meaning it had a reception area (with about 3 small tables for coffees I assume)and then straight to the accomodations....no real gardens to speak of.
Overall, having seen and walked through both hotels and rooms within,I would prefer to stay at TS again but wouldn't have a problem staying next door if TS were booked out.
Hope this helps/makes sense.
