which was posted about 3-4 weeks ago and raised alot of debate. Having been there, and now unfortunately home again, I noted on arrival the signs for vip service. These people are standing in the same area as the customs officials, so it is supported by the airline staff, etc. It's yet another service for we travellers, and another way for some locals to make money. It does however amaze me that people can get thru customs with somebody else lining up and collecting their bags etc. But - that's Bali I guess.
I had 3, 7 and 10year old, after 6 hour flight, and they were fine. If you are lucky 3yo will sleep like mine did. Have an activity, or even a sweet treat as a reward for him to have while in line.
Wouldn't bother with VIP myself -the whole process took about 3/4 hour from exiting plane and walking into that wonderful sunshine.
Have a great trip, and enjoy - it all goes far too quickly.
