Hi Folks,
Forum lurker here :P
My best mate Snorky and I are flying out Fri morning...yeee hawwww! (Garuda still serving the beef noodle for breakfast?? I dunno what's in that, but I can tell you that the thing that looks like bamboo is a good deal freakin hotter than bamboo! lol).
First things first...mucho apologies to the person who has to sit next to the two of us, I'll try to stay on my side but if my fat @ss happens to touch your thigh well tough titties really ;P Contrary to some of the opinions on this forum I'm not paying extra for a spare seat for my fat birthin hips to rest in (and if I could afford business, I'd be in business...but feel free to upgrade me though if ya see me coming towards the spare seat next to you :D) and while I'll try to lean away from your personal space I'm not sitting with my arms crossed for the entire 3 and a half hours cos I have boobies and its uncomfortable. Sorry if that offends anyone (not really but it seemed the polite thing to say ;P and while my weight may offend you, at least I'll be the nicest person you ever have the pleasure of meeting). Plus I'm jolly....like Santa!
As we havent been to Bali in a couple of years just wanted to ask a couple questions if I may? (Staying in Legian if that helps with any questions as well) :) We're getting some overshirts, work shirts, work pants, 3/4 pants etc made, about 20-25 items each (already have some fabric) and I just wanted your opinion on which tailor would be best around Legian? I've heard Ketut's fixed price may be the way to go? We used to go to B.I.G. in Garlic Lane and am now devo at the thought that its shut down :( Cos they were lovely girls there and I hope they're well.
Also when we get there for our supplies would Bintang Supermarket be the closest/best place to go? We used to go to Logi's when we stayed at the Mandira but we're nearer Melasti street this time. Can we get Mix Max or whatever the Bali equivalant to Crusiers are called at Bintangs? (Gonna spend more time sitting by the pool with a cool drink in our hands this time, the other few times we've been its nothing but shop shop shop for our family's and friends! lol)
I'd never thought of having prescription glasses made either before I found this forum (thanks forumites!) so we'll probably head to I think its called Optik Seis? Opposite Matahari's in Kuta Square. I'm going to get some prescription sunnies and just a regular pair of glasses. Anyone know if I can get them with the anti-glare stuff on them? My work has me sitting in front of a computers glare all day (hence the aforementioned 'Bama Butt...as in, Big as Alabama! :P) and the last time I had glasses made they said its good for my eyes :D Approx price for brand frames and just ya usual everythings a blur past my arms length prescription if anyone knows?
Best spa to get just a nice shoulder/neck massage and pedicure and manicure that's local? Nothing with a happy ending thanks lol
Any restuarant suggestions? We like the IndoNational and Wayan and Friends but havent really ventured out of our comfort zone foodwise before and would like to this time :)
Also would like to get a sim for the mobile while I'm over there. ANyone know in Legian where I could get one or can I get one at Bintang supermarket? And which is the best to get?
I thinkg thats all for now...apologies to the person on the flight back as well...I'll be a little less jolly for having to return to the cold weather and crappy work (unless I win the 40mil Oz lotto on Tues of course, in which case, I'm buying a Villa in Bali and you're all welcome to come over for the villa warming :D). Thanks in advance. Peace! :)
