Sunday.....starting to run out of days and there are still many places I want to eat at !!! We went to Blue Ocean again for breakkie, they do a 'Simple One' for 25,000 which is bacon and 2 eggs anyway and selected breads and coffee what more could you want really ?? Lots of expats there too with their laptops, maybe not all expats but certainly looked that way.
Later on got teen1 to come to warung Kartini and she too was impressed with the food. Its very simple décor but the food is good.
Around 4.30 we got picked up by Rico and taken to Tanah Lot, it really rained lots on the way and when we got there ( the only rain of the trip) of course the umbrella people were out in force. Rico had 2 we could use though.Us older girls all got blessed by the priests and myself and the teens touched the holy snake...best bit was watching my friend's friend face when she saw the big python that they take photos off with tourists. Talk about laugh !!! She was beside herself.
From there we went to Echo Beach for tea. It is a truly stunning setting and I want to go back there but honestly it was the worst meal of the trip..........what a bummer !! I would advise anyone DON'T order the BBQ'd seafood when they are busy........it took over 1.5 hours to get our meal and it was very ordinary!! The band is great but loud and we were seated right in front of them. Rico was great in scoring us a table when it was so busy but after a while as it started to clear out we swapped tables to be a little further away from the music. The table of ladies next to us said they had been last year and also chose the seafood and had the same experience so this time had ordered from the restaurant menu. A tip for next time, like I said I want to go again for sure.
