Flew out from Sydney on 27th May with Jetstar. Left about 40 minutes late on a uneventful flight. The best kind I always think. Paid extra for the exit row seats. I think it is worth the extra money. Nice to be able to stretch your legs.
Arrived at Denpasar at 10.30p.m. and we were met by the staff from Bali Concierge. Their lounge area is really nice and the toilets spotless. Had a drink and something to eat then our bags were ready and off we went. I don't think we saved any time but it was a nice way to start our trip.
We were met by a driver and taken to Tamu Seseh villas. I had booked this on ebay. We had a 1 bedroom villa and a 2 bedroom villa. The drive took about 40 minutes as not too much traffic. On the way into the villas we were driving down a narrow back road and saw these 4 guys walking along the side of the road carrying very large riffles. My husband asked what they were doing and the driver said they were going fishing! We thought we had misunderstood what he was saying but apparently he was right. They fish late at night for catfish! Strange way to fish I thought but I felt a bit less nervous about the guns. Arrived at the villas and they are beautiful! Settled in and finally got to bed about 1.30 a.m.
The view from our villa the next morning was amazing. Watching the farmers in the rice fields is very calming and you feel yourself relax straight away. Stayed here for 4 nights and just loved the place. Will definately go back. The staff are amazing - especially Listi the manager. We had our Balinese friends stay with us in the 1 bedroom villa. They have a 10 month old daughter who is adorable so I think we saw a lot more of the female staff than you normally would! They were always coming to play with Tatha.
Didn't do much while we were at Tamu Seseh just relaxing, walking along the beach and catching up with our friends but I didn't really want to go out anyway. The time to leave came around way to soon.
To come - Nusa Dua, Sanur and Ubud.
Thanks for reading.
