I agree - it's well worth a visit just to see Borabodur (sp?).
I must say though that I did find it a bit creepy, although this was nearly 15 years ago. I was there alone and the locals seemed horrified that I was travelling without my (non-existent) husband. There were lots of men hanging around my hotel looking seedy, and one night a taxi driver drove me right out into the countryside instead of back to my hotel. I was convinced I was going to be raped and murdered. (I spoke enough Bahasa to tell him to turn around and so I knew that it wasn't a problem with directions). Eventually he turned around. He just wanted a bigger fare.
